I watched you marching, blocking traffic
Up and down the street.
Yelling, waving signs and fists
And chanting to a beat.
You think you know it all
You have all the answers too.
But you're only helping Saddam
By stirring up the brew.
Can't you see the pain and evil
He's caused for all these years?
Let him rule and you will see
His tyranny will cause us tears.
It doesn't help our troops
To see that they've been spurned.
You'd think since Vietnam
Our lessons would be learned.
You couldn't protest your leader at all
If you lived in Saddam's land
You'd live in fear and be a slave
To that wild man's demands.
So do your whining if you must
Freedom is your right to say what you believe.
But I think if you're not happy here
You should pack your bags and leave.
I'm proud to be an American
And on everything I might not agree
But I thank God every day for the troops
Who bravely fight to keep us free.

A personal note:
It makes me ashamed to watch so called "Protesters for Peace"
Carrying on, yelling epithets against their own country, spray painting cars,
Keeping innocent people in traffic from getting home and enjoying the peace of spending their time with loved ones
And most of all.... disgracing this country and the rest of us......
PLEASE... Protest Peacefully.... and Try Praying :)
