But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side.

I turn the TV on....
Watch Headline News.
Switch to Fox, Cnn,
Msnbc and Local news,
Then... start all over again.

It's everywhere.
Not confined to the Middle East
The suffering, the devastation,
Terrorism is the name of the beast.

It's spreading like slime
Across this earth.
Wreaking havoc, not caring
What life is worth.

It causes fear and hatred
In people who had none.
We can’t get away from it.
Has the end of time begun?

I can't change anything
And I’m not a dooms-dayer,
There is always hope and faith
And I calm my fears with prayer.

It’s not myself I pray for,
It’s the younger generation.
As they watch the TV, I wonder
What it does to their imagination.

I pray that God gives strength and comfort
To those suffering from disasters
Not of their making.
I thank God for family and friends,
A warm bed in a nice home
As I watch what is happening everywhere
And my heart is aching.
